About the R-Errors Website

Welcome to our team page!

This page gives a brief overview on the objective and the people behind the R-Errors website.

The Objective of R-Errors

R-Errors is a dictionary of error and warning messages of the R programming language.

For each message, a separate tutorial is provided. These tutorials show how to reproduce and debug an error message based on reproducible examples.

A main feature of R-Errors is the multilingualism of its tutorials.

Error and warning messages are usually print in the language of the operating system on which R and RStudio are running. Our multi-language approach aims to help finding the message you are facing in your own code.

We hope to provide an informative resource you can go to when facing error and warning messages in R.

The Team Behind R-Errors

The R-Errors website is mainly maintained and written by Joachim Schork - a statistician, programmer, and SEO from Germany.

Joachim has several years of experience using the R programming language as well as other programming languages such as Python.

Besides this website, he runs several other statistical education platforms.

His main project is Statistics Globe, a free learning platform for statistical methods, R programming, and Python.

Make sure to check out the Statistics Globe website and the Statistics Globe YouTube channel, if you want to learn more about these topics.

Besides Joachim, other team members of Statistics Globe also help to maintain the R-Errors website.

A special thanks goes to Matthias Bäuerlen and Micha Gengenbach, who help to format and translate the articles on R-Errors into different languages.
